\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Debbie Smith’s CC+ Geology class is growing crystals.\u00a0 Her class of Junior and Senior students are participating in a competition to grow the best crystals.\u00a0 The kids are working in groups of 4 and started the process with aluminum potassium sulfate (alum) and water.\u00a0 They have 6 weeks to try and grow the largest single crystal as well as the clearest crystal.\u00a0 The graded lab project could also earn the students bonus points.\u00a0 CC+ classes are a way for students to earn not only high school credits but college level credit too!\u00a0 This gives these students an big advantage when starting their college careers.<\/h1>\n
